Hello from a newcomer,
I'm based near Berriew, Powys and am looking for a sensible sort to ride and dote on a couple of days a week. I've shared a variety of great horses, all with their own foibles - from an easy-going 16.1hh warmblood to an ex-riding school HW cob-type with mud fever and her own opinions - but most of my experience has been with Section Ds and TBXs.
I'm a reasonably competent and sensitive rider, with decent horse management skills, but haven't ridden much (as a working mum) in the last few years, so wouldn't be looking to take on a young or difficult horse. It would be great to find a local situation, and ideally some people to ride with, but am happy to travel a bit for the right horse. Size-wise, I'm 5ft 4-in and around 9st (last time I popped on the vet's scales!).
I am also keen to find a good instructor, if anyone knows of a school near me.
