How to remove a duct tape hoof poultice

Hi guys, hit me with the easiest way to remove a duct tape hoof poultice (usually has gamgee and vetwrap under it) - I usually put it on so darn well that I find it impossible to cut off. I tried a blade and nearly sliced my finger off, and even my good scissors struggle!! I am sure someone has a better way!! Thankyou!!

A blade CAREFULLY! Something like a stanley knife works better than a normal knife, and slice downwards then you can peel it off.

Good scissors or tuff cuts, twice down the toe then I can normally wriggle them off.
