No more Blair horse trails

So that's no more Gatcombe or Blair.
Maybe we are about to see a big change in competitions.

I wonder what's causing this? Is it simply that they can't charge high enough entry fees and trade stand fees to cover their costs and make it worthwhile?

It is apparently the use of the estate is changing to that of regenerative agriculture. So the whole site will be unavailable for use

Maybe also high insurance costs or lack of cover.

I know the working horse group i belong to couldnt get insurance cover for holding events from the usual insurance company (a well known one theyd been using for years). They literally said they wouldnt cover anymore.

I can see how the two would be incompatible. It's a shame though.

For Gatcombe it was the cost mainly insurance.
Maybe less people actually go to watch these days.
