Rocky's first affiliated dressage outing

He went in the Open Section of the Prelim at an affiliated dressage on Sunday and got 54.40% (from a reknowned tough judge) and "basic paces are correct but will benefit if more willing and forward. Needs to relax and straighten for better marks" - roughly translates to take a deep breath Rocky, that little white picket fence won't eat you. Second test they got 2nd place on 57.92% with "attractive horse. Try to release your hand brake a little and allow him to take you forwards more". His loaner is really pleased :biggrin:

You might be thinking of Alf, my dressage horse. Rocky's obedient dressage moments are few and far between :giggle:

I think the handbrake thing is a fairly typical tb thing, they're moving at ten to the dozen just not forwards!

Its just the stage of his training at the minute - you can have on the bit and not very forward or speeding giraffe :giggle:
