It may well be that for going barefoot you need someone more geared up to that.
However, if you are concerned at losing your farrier for an unknown I wouldn't blame you.
Tbh if my farrier wasn't trimming Joy's backs for barefoot as well as he was shoeing her fronts then I would go back to having her shod allround.
There's no way on earth I'd risk losing my farrier when Joy has been very happy shod and my farrier is the best around, not that I'd be able to find another one anyway as they are all so busy
