I am looking for a new web site hosting company for our RDA website, I used to host it on Freeserve as it was but then Orange took over and change the format and it really isn't as good as it was without paying loads every month. Anyone out there have any sggestions, must be easy to use

Cheers for that, did find one called moonfruit, looked really good but will have to have a more indepth look
sorry vjwuk, had not thought of including paid hosts.

have had shared server space before and moonfruit was one had looked at to,very tidy looking sites, and it does have the added extra of making a flash site with no flash understanding.

Can only recommend what not to use from own experience and that was valuehost.co.uk,they overload each server so the files were unreliable and slow, lots of downtime.
They're a manual host rather than one that offers a drag and drop type editor.

There is a forum would recommend having a look at as had got own ex host from there before they went very bad:

it's great for host ideas, can't seem to find it now but there is a board somewhere on there for requests [to request hosts that meet needs as close as possible].

have had a look on google and found a uk company that is offering good hosting for free to organisations/places with a charity number:

another one:

Another way to go,but probably too much work-have ever thought of setting up own server?
think would need to install linux and apache on a PC first, have a good broadband package, and be ok with leaving both switched on all the time.
