SueEllen will deffo want to come but she's not back from NZ until December.. Odie will need at least a month to get back into a fit state so that works out..
So sometime in December maybe ? (I will hopefully have a decent towing car by then too..fingerscrossed..otherwise I can maybe borrow next-doors Jeep)

me too, id say i could borrow a box easily enough and then OH's boss has a jeep for work he might loan him for a day or someone from my yard might be tempted by the aforementioned slow pace and non judging atmosphere of those with green horses!
... perfect atmosphere !! We'll have a decent lead horse though too.. SueEllen's SueEllen is really good.. will jump pretty much anything.. so if we did need a lead she'll go.. The car thing is pants.. My Jeep is just totally unreliable.. I wouldn't risk a trip like that in it.. Don't trust it at all - the horrid piece of American Junk!
I do have use of a box and a jeep to pull and could offer to pick some else up in it - only thing is, it doesnt have a partition?? Not sure how safe it is to put two horses in without a partition and also have no experience of how Nuka is with other another horse in the box!!

there are loads of boxes on my yard i could just as easily borrow a partition from one there would be no prob. i wouldnt put Z in without one as he is 17hh and might lean on your horse!
On which horse precisely? All ours would either go round or trash? Name your horse!

What an absolutely fantastic idea! That looks like my ideal day out (the tea and biscuits at the end are the deal clincher).
I would love to know how they set it up? Did they own the land, or get permission from farmers (or pay farmers a percentage of takings? - now that would be an interesting model...)
If you find out any of this, please post, so that I can start canvassing my local farmers and collecting jump building materials. Skippy, Lucyad - are we in?

i havnt dont it but know plenty on my yard who have. it has a reputation for being very fast but lots of fun
cant say any really novicey riders on my yard have done it but the ones who have all survived. there supposedly different groups depending on ability but im not actually sure if thats the case
