Yesterday I moved Prince from the yard where I returned to riding, first saw him, bought him, had our accident, worked through getting confidence back and met all our horse-owning friends.

It was a BIG deal for me (probably for him too).

BUT... it's been the best thing I could have done :biggrin: I LOVE the new yard and so does he! He is stabled for the first time in his life (mucky field pony that he is at heart lol) and he has just taken to it like a duck to water - I'm soooooo thrilled!

The yard is really lovely, facilities seem like 5* luxury and I have to keep pinching myself, other owners were really friendly and we went out hacking in a group of 5 this morning. LOVE, LOVE LOVE it!!

Sorry for being boring/annoying but I feel like shouting from the rooftops. My boy finally feels like MINE! I gave him his first really thorough bath today and we found white bits we never knew he had :)giggle:) He is soo chilled out that he's like a different horse AND...

Trumpet fanfare for this bit...

HE LIVES RIGHT ACROSS THE ROAD FROM MY HOUSE!!! WOW!! After his bath today we wandered across the road and he chomped some of my front lawn while we all looked admiringly at this horse in our garden who looks a bit like the horse I had before yesterday but is just sparkling :giggle:

Will try to add some photos but I don't seem to be great at that so sorry in advance if I've added the same one 5 times or something! Am sooooooo happy!!!!:spin::spin::spin::spin::spin:

OK annoying gloat over!! Sorry peeps!

Lovely to read and see how happy you both are :biggrin:

I know what you mean about him feeling like yours, as I'd bought S from the yard she was on there were people there who knew her better than me....not any more I've known her longest, sounds a bit pathetic when put like that but it made a difference to me :giggle:

Yeah!! That's exactly it Liz. Glad I'm not the only pathetic one around here :giggle:

I'm like a kid at Christmas with him being right there :biggrin::biggrin:

Extemely jealous, but really happy its been a positive step for you. I so know what you mean, finally feeling like he's yours and you're not boring us at all......but you would have been in trouble without the fab piccies! Number two is excellant, Prince is :inlove:

Are you still in the same area of have you moved futher afield? I moved Rusty this weekend too. Havent gone far, Just moved up the track really but now in the field by the housing estate before you get in to shere village. Must be really nice to have him so near your house and glad he has settled in.

Pmsl. He looks like he is really enjoying himself in those pics. Did you tell him a joke?

LOL yeah, he'd just had his first ever "proper" bath ie using the hose (only for full liveries on our old yard) so the job was done properly and I was just saying "Remember yesterday when you were just a mucky field pony and I was a lowly novice owner/rider, Prince?"

:giggle::giggle:

Oh ho, ah ha! I know that stable, it's the one my first share pony was stabled in! And I know that grooming area!

Prince looks as cool as a cucumber, how wonderful. Enjoy, enjoy.
