On an island
Well what a day! Storm has done just over two months box rest and has coped so well. We started in hand walking for five mins building up and now she is doing a full half hour in a morning with Mr T. This morning as I mucked out I wondered where they had gone, normally I hear them clip clopping about the yard - and then she goes into her "daytime" apartment. Not today, he had taken her to the lovely field I have kept promising her. It was re seeded and looks amazing - and for weeks I have been promising her nibbles but of course with the injury and wanting to do everything right to give the leg the best chance, it was not an option until today. What I didn't want was her spooking and spinning (which she is very good at!) before the leg had had a good chance to cope. So it was with great delight I found them both in it! She had head down blissfully grazing. Never moved a muscle bless her. Bet it tasted so good! So she enjoyed a lovely fifteen minutes and just now I took her there again for twenty. What a happy connie. She's back in her apartment and we'll go on a thistle walk later (not many left now tho). I feel like we are making progress - just wanted to share. It has made my weekend. Here's to more grass sessions !

She is such a good horse, I don't know many that would tolerate it so well. Thankfully she is mainly ruled by appetite and I've had fun feeding her a variety and trying different things with her. And of course her faithful companion Chloe has worked wonders. The girl has barely left her side throughout!
