Hi all, does anyone know of any brands of turnout rugs that will fit a pony (5ft, she fits Horseware best) that is no fill or light weight fill (50g or 100g), that's 1200 denier or more that doesn't cost the earth?

NA take a look on the Bucas Ireland website - in particular their discounted factory outlet. the prices are only available to residents within Ireland - I have got some fabulous pony sized bargains for the donkeys from there. Not entirely sure how their sizing compares to horseware though but I believe you can send them back if they don't fit :)

I buy the weatherbeeter 1200d rugs (their cheaper ones are 600d so watch for that) for Jess, I really like them and they last brilliantly. For the ponies my favorite is ruggles, Hanks is super cute but fits him better than others as they actually cut their small and giant ones different to 'normal' horse sizes so they fit really nicely around the neck/shoulders, and they are 1200d.

Thank you :D I haven't heard of Ruggles so I'm off to have a look

I had a ruggles and I’m not sure if I was just unlucky but it leaked really badly, I did wonder if for some reason it had bypassed the waterproofing stage as everyone else seems to think they are brilliant.
Do Maxima equestrian do one in a suitable weight? I rate their rugs. I’ve only bought a big size but they do pony ones
