99709So, Jake is looking for a new home. He states cruelty as the reason. Stupid owner got the weather forecast wrong (very wrong) and took him out for a hack..... it rained. Jake does not do rain. He hates it, it’s a known fact and mistakes like this are not taken lightly. If anyone can help?
Those ears! He literally isn’t speaking to me

Haha, no use coming to me, I already have one of those horses. Mine screws up his eyes, and tucks his head in and to the side as well.

Yeah we did much of the route with his chin on his chest going sideways!!

Mine isn't fussed by the rain. Having one that hated it you have my sympathies.

Get him a waterproof hi viz bonnet. Then when he's indicating left and right he can help be seen. :D

Little Un hates the wet, and like Jake would probably call the RSPCA if he could if we ride in it. He once took a friend of ine into a bus shelter to avoid a heavy downpour!
He did attempt to pull in to the local livery yard. Presumably to take cover in a warm stable
Someone needs to tell this horse he’s at least half cob!
Funnily it’s only this year really he’s taken aversion to weather and flies. He seems to be getting more sensitive the older he gets!

If the downpour there was anything like it was here I think even the most hardened all weather horse would have taken offence, let alone one who dislikes it, poor lad ;)

Being a cob doesn't mean they will or won't like getting wet lol.
No and as I’ve found out it doesn’t mean they are tough, hardy, warm or cheap to keep either!
New forest, he would NOT like a bonnet ;) I tried a face mask/net for flies one day. Didn’t get very far before hopping off and chucking it in a hedge to retrieve later before I fell off :0

I’m lucky, unless it’s howling wind and lashing rain Belle is ‘rain, what rain, I hadn’t noticed’
They are funny aren’t they.

Barney is like that! Literally couldn’t care less. He definitely prefers bad weather to hot fly days!

Mattie can't bear the rain, he says he is an Arab horse and must live where it is dry, but where there is miraculously long, lush grass to eat all year.

Ziggy didn't care but didn't like walking directly into it. One of the few occasions (apart from log yield) where he would offer lateral movements.

I haven't seen enough of Charlie in the rain to know how he will be!

A hurricane wouldn't bother Hogan, but heavy rain is a total nope. Big girl's blouse in the rain.

Bo used to run from the rain and hide inside, Jess doesn't much care, unless it's really heavy and stings as it hits your skin, then she's turning tail into it and not going anywhere without serious convincing.
