Update

So Faran is now bitted with a cyprium bit. I chose a nice loose ring cyprium french link for him. He’s preferring it to the baby rubber straight bar. Now putting it in first time and stands happily playing with it.

We also pretty much have the lunging concept down. Few blips but I don’t work on it for long as I don’t want him in circles constantly, so usually about 10/15mins at the end of a session moving out and in towards me and changing gait.

Hoping the weather settles soon and I can get him out walking on the road more and start to get him see to different things again.

We have our first non Welsh show of the year on 14/03 so hoping he evens out a bit as he’s went a little higgelty piggelty lol

@Jessey he's Welsh, they're meant to be "improper" horses and, in their eyes at least, vastly superior to every other breed! How could you suggest he's growing into a "proper" horse? He'll need therapy to get over the insult lol

I will apologise to him for you but without the carrot as he caught my friend unawares yesterday and munched her properly on the arm, so he’s in the dog house. He instantly got soundly told off and chased to the back of the stable. Apparently impatience at its finest

Yes, it’s Kia’s Micklem which is a little bittersweet. I use it without the bit to work him in, when the bit is attached we work from his rope headcollar as he can get a bit exuberant as the school as been getting used for a wahoo so he sometimes thinks he’s getting to bomb about when he goes up there
