Being an adult is overrated.
Who says ponies are just for kids. I am a big kid!
Ponies are not just for kids! I am wanting one next time. Something short, stocky and kind. And fun.

One of those cant sleep nights. Woken by the cat bringing a mouse in at 4.30. Brought me one at midnight too. Went back to bed and just laid here, so i got up and made coffee. Laid back in bed watching the birds on the blackcurrant bushes eating breakfast. Im actually contemplating getting up for an early morning hack. I can see the sun is already shining but theres a nice chill in the air currently but its supposed to get warmer.
I was just thinking i miss some of those long hacks, going up over the back from me and seeing the countryside. Ive done a couple of 4 miles this week and when nearly home billys still been bouncing. I dont want to aggravate his injury but maybe he needs to go explore the countryside up over the back. Weve done a bit together but no where near what i use to do with chunky. Trouble is once you commit to a loop its about 10 miles. Dont think im quite up to that, but thinking i should start to make my weekends into some long hacks again before winter gets here.
I stopped doing the long ones as it was too much for chunky and his rider, but maybe whilst hes not got a rider, i need to make the most of it with billy.
Its really annoying as now im going back to some work. Ill have less time to ride. I really should have ridden long ones when off but then i was being sensible on safety grounds. But maybe if the week ones are short i can structure at least one day of the weekend ones to be long. Umm excellent plan see if i can stick to it.
No no cat flap. I need a window open for air circulation. But i pulled it up after throwing the mouse out the front door at midnight. But just as it got light i woke up all stuffy, so opened it again. Id gone back to sleep and about 10 minutes late in comes the cat. The trouble is the cat brings them in and you get told about it. Which has its advantages i suppose, but getting out of bed to retrieve another mouse and throw it out gets a bit much, two in one night.
I dont want to be mean and leave the cat out all night. Some nights he comes and goes and its fine. Its just rubbish when he bring in presents,
He sure is super efficient. Considering he was completely ferral a year ago, and had been floating round for a whole year before fending for himself, hes learnt how to look after himself. Whilst hes not 100% hes come along way and seems to trust me. At least he can now have some special care. I can worm and tick treat him. It was awful watching a feral cat scratching his ears and neck and not able to get near him to help. He sleeps on my bed some nights, and at 8am as i stur he will come and sit on me.
He amazes us that he will pop out after we feed him breakfast and within 5 minutes he can come back with a mouse. Now if you sat in your garden for 5 minutes would you spot a mouse that quick. How they do it i dont know.
