A lovely lady came to see Charlie today. She's 40 sit with a daughter in her 20's, both are experienced with horses. They do rescue and rehabilitation for horses found abandoned or tied by the road and she has rehabbed several big eventers too.

She's looking for a young horse that nobody has broken yet, in the sense of never had to work so still as sound as nature made it. She wants to bring the horse on herself and keep it as her forever horse. Having always had big warmblood types, she is wondering why she never got something a bit smaller and thinks Charlie will be the perfect size. She loved him and he behaved very nicely for her (though still zoomed about like a silly moo showing off).

She is local, she lives only half an hour away, and amazingly we have the same instructor. She's only had a couple of lessons with her but trusts her, so she is going to ask our RI whether she thinks Charlie would be good for her, and if she does then he's sold.

Amazingly, she'd like to come and visit him several times this week, do a little work with him, and bring her trailer here and practise loading before she finally takes him away. I couldn't be happier about this, how wonderful that she wants to take it slowly.

So it's in my RI's hands now. I know she thinks Charlie is too much for me but I hope like mad she thinks that this buyer will suit him - she always speaks the truth! Please cross your fingers for me, she would be such a brilliant owner.
