I've been good at keeping a written diary, time I started on here.

My little family of 4 legged best friends:)

Rhan. My lovely forever dreamed of and now a reality due to my amazing dad, blue eyed Welsh D. Bought last year from the hills and finally getting started with our training this year. She is a sweetheart but ever the sceptic and sometimes drama queen. Stay quiet and she will give her heart. I'm rather smitten with her.

Tigger, my pet Welsh Black Mountain sheep and my solace. He was rejected by his mum last year from the second he was born. Cue me taking him in and he lived in the house for 8 weeks with our dogs and us and slept on the sofa with me. He has no idea he is a sheep and is soft as clarts and a real mummies boy but god does he keep me on my toes. I truly would be lost without him now.

Harry. He is my bestest boy and has been with me 9 years. I'd be lost without him, he has gotten me through some tough times. He has this last year turned into somewhat of a grunpy old man but I worship the ground he walks on.

Torin. My wee shettie who has been here nearly 3 years on loan from a rescue in Ireland. He is a sweetie with a pinch of trouble! Either in your face or completely aloof. Still to this day hates brooms, long handled forks. No history really and hate to think what had happened to him but I love him.

Misty. Newest edition. Shy little lady who is coming out of her shell now. She loves my dad, is more shy with me and mum but is starting to show lots of character and she loves her greens and waits for you in the morning to bring them :)

So Rhan and I have finally I think got the hang of long reining. She has never been happy when I go further back and behind with lines on so have been working on this for a while and last week we finally had a super chilled out pony and some lovely simple starts and stops. We have been working on steering more this week doing lots of turns and circles etc. Going to try having a short session up and down the drive soon. This was our 1st relaxed session and to say I was happy and so proud of her is an understatement :)

Torin had a bath day the other week followed by a clip the following day. I'm pleased with how he is looking for a Shetland I struggle with weight constantly. He has put some on but no crest or fat pads on shoulders etc. He is full of beans at the moment and has been enjoying a 1.5 mile brisk walk up the drive and back most days :)

Well done with the long reining. I need to try that again with Mylo, he was very unsure last time I did it.
Torino looks lovely! Will you post him to me please?

@Star the Fell I'm not sure I have a Jiffy bag big enough but I shall look :p
Thank you.Let us know how long reining goes with Mylo. It's actually one of my favourite things to do so I'm glad we are getting the hang now :)

Lovely early morning ride at work today in the damp mist. Was very refreshing really enjoyed the cool freshness.

Had a great long reining session with Rhan, she's really softening on turns and stopping softer as well.

Torin was in I'm not catching mode this morning  he does this once in a blue moon. I walk off and leave him and do my other bits. He shouts and shouts then miraculously catches no problem. I swear he just does it for a laugh :p

Tigger is adorable as ever as is my gorgeous Harry.

Harness and lead training going well with Misty.

while the Doll was skiving off work back there in the spring...they put a huge gate up with high barbed wire both sides where we used to pop in - and now I see today when we pootled up for a nosey the whole track up to it is completely overgrown - seems it was only the old mare and me keeping it open :( Sad times :(o_O

Not much today other than just spending some time with the animals tonight after work. Torin was only interested in waiting for hay in the box but Rhan just wanted scratches while I attempted to poo pick. Took 20 mins instead of the usual 2

Tigger was also in an I want scratches mood. Now I get presented with this daily, he loves between his back legs and his, em, sack  scratched. Not gonna lie I'm not ashamed as he loves it :p

Not long in, showered and ready for some much needed food!

What a shame @Cortrasna to have it closed off :( safe hacking places are hard to find for alot of people it always seems a shame to not allow access to certain parts. A permit would have been ideal for you and the forest.
