I hope things are clear and your gang are safe @horseandgoatmom
My worry is what if things are not clear.
Coggins has no treatment or vaccine.
Horses testing positive in coggins test
Have to be put down or quarantined where they are for life.
For the sake of not requesting positive proof things could get much worse before they get better.
Bloody annoying when you take all the precautions, then someone else's carelessness puts everything at risk. Good luck vibes on their way to you....The test is a Coggins test the disease I think is actually. EIA.
Most things have vaccines and treatment.
That is a virus that does not have either.
Chances are things
Will come thru clear but its not 100%.
It just makes me VERY GLAD I have been diligant to never take chances with things I can vaccinate for.
Supposedly thru the years of testing and
Management its less prevalent.....
BUT measles over here in humans was
Considered eradicated. Yet we have pockets of Serious outbreaks.
Looking at that second pic - should be titled "Horsey Heaven"!Sonny unmounted 49.25 hrs
Mounted 8.50 hrs
Been doing sproratic play here and there humidity and pollen came down a bit after rain Monday pm into yesterday. nOT
Sonny was nice and muddy during some play .
Late yesterday I let him have some grass under the trees loose while I was out there.
Hew did wander in and out of the shade a little but it was a nice cool wind out.

I am so SOOOOOO GLAD I vaccinate for everything.
There is a little glitch in paradise
I guess there are many issues with the apartment rental and 5 horses that moved in
a few months ago and they had been asked to leave.
Not sure sure how this all came about but she never requested proof of ANYTHING
for coggins rabies etc she took their word.
It turns out there there is NOTHING and the horses are quarantined there
til tests come back clear.
I'm not thrilled about this.
I had let a few guests play with me over her in the past. That stopped after one was a
total jerk.
Has she not been requiring proof of anyone???????
They are both stunning looking!Yay! On Saturday I finally made it to a 90cm SJ clinic. This was the fifth one I had booked having had two previous ones cancelled due to lack of participants, one due to horse flu, and one when the lorry wouldn't start. I did have to borrow a lorry to get there as mine has now failed its MoT
Harvey went well for me in his new bit - we had a couple of run outs and one fence down basically because with my new brakes I was holding him too much. I was pleased with him though. Later I was on babysitting duties riding Archie the veteran to accompany YO on her competition horse. Its a good job he is a solid type as we met a street party with tents, a bouncy castle and lots of noisy people.
On Sunday I hacked with another livery (who also can't hack solo) and then again on Archie as babysitter.
Harvey "helping"
Archie managed to grab a bit of hedge on the way through the gate

Thats an adorable photo with the cat.
Rain started here too earlier than expected but we need it to bring the pollen count back down.
Who would want to get inside a horse's head? Friend of mine had an interesting theory for what scares them. She thought the things that scared them in ancient times were being imagined in our modern world ie: a log = a crocodile, a pig = wild boar, a dog = a wolf etc. We couldn't figure out what a plastic bag represented though lol! Also be a bit of a stretch to think a boat equalled a shark or killer whale!? We did have an experience though, years ago. We were out on the forest, and in the distance was a man with 2 dogs. Neither Ramsey or my friends horse were much bothered by dogs, but had complete meltdowns even 100 yds away with these ones. Turns out they were wolf hybrids, which I didn't think were legal in the UK. So who knows where these irrational (to us) fears come from?Lol to cars...
SONNYS thing was boats ...geesh where did that come from.
FIrst time not long after I got him we were at the beach at Goddard park one was way off shore it never got real close but when we rode along back of the cove with them all tied he was concerned.
Following week at hopkinton park one on a car roof. He was like...OMG now they are in land.
But we lucked out and there was a whole secluded parking lot of small boats.
His eyes were like dinner plates .
We walked all up and down touch it with his nose and he got a piece of carrot.
He never had a worry about any boats again.
Hes not concerned by much and boats
Seemed to be an odd thing to bother him.
Like I say, I really wouldn't want to be in a horse's head - SO much scares them! I was at a show with Ramsey once and my mum, who isn't horsey at all, put up her umbrella - caused a total stampede, very funny looking back, at the time - not so funnyOhhh wow hmmmm it seems they knew right away they were not normal dogs.
Sonny was born in Wisconsin was a roping horse there then became a pony horse race at a race track in western Ma before I got him.
Not really environments with boats.
It does make you wonder.
Like your lovely Sunny, Ziggy was not bothered by much at all. But we only went down to the river once and a kayak came past. He didn't go pop but he was leaning backwards and his legs were wobbling - "I want to run away!" I also wondered what was so scary about a little boat. Go figure.Lol to cars...
