Moved Belle today, new possibly temporary yard, closer to my new home but still father than I would like. Anyhow, had the proper colly wobbles this morning, stressed my self silly thinking, will she load ok? Will she travel ok? What if she gets stressed and silly and comes flying down the ramp at the other end? What if she won't settle at the new yard? What if, what if, what if and guess what she did?
She walked up the trailer ramp with a tiny bit of coaxing, Luke (farrier who kindly offered to move her) said she traveled like a dream, hardly knew he was towing her, walked off the ramp the other end as cool as a cucumber straight into her new paddock and promptly got down to the important business of eating! She did lift her head up at one point and went to say a quick hello to the other horses, then got back on with grazing.
Lucky for us the snow hadn't hit by that point, by the time we got home again it had started and by the time the car was loaded with stable mats and the last few bits and pieces it was coming thick and fast and about 4 inch deep! Thankfully Mr KR was driving otherwise I doubt I would have got to the new yard until tea time, my friend who's yard it is will happily get her in for me tonight but I need to go and do that myself being as its her first day in her new home, so he's doing the driving tonight too.
I feel worn out now I've calmed down but overall I'm so, so happy with my little girly. What a star she is.
