Moved Belle today, new possibly temporary yard, closer to my new home but still father than I would like. Anyhow, had the proper colly wobbles this morning, stressed my self silly thinking, will she load ok? Will she travel ok? What if she gets stressed and silly and comes flying down the ramp at the other end? What if she won't settle at the new yard? What if, what if, what if and guess what she did?
She walked up the trailer ramp with a tiny bit of coaxing, Luke (farrier who kindly offered to move her) said she traveled like a dream, hardly knew he was towing her, walked off the ramp the other end as cool as a cucumber straight into her new paddock and promptly got down to the important business of eating! She did lift her head up at one point and went to say a quick hello to the other horses, then got back on with grazing.
Lucky for us the snow hadn't hit by that point, by the time we got home again it had started and by the time the car was loaded with stable mats and the last few bits and pieces it was coming thick and fast and about 4 inch deep! Thankfully Mr KR was driving otherwise I doubt I would have got to the new yard until tea time, my friend who's yard it is will happily get her in for me tonight but I need to go and do that myself being as its her first day in her new home, so he's doing the driving tonight too.
I feel worn out now I've calmed down but overall I'm so, so happy with my little girly. What a star she is.

That’s great she was so not phased, we can often be more worried than they are! It’s a pain the snow hit you but at least it held off until after she was deposited

Aw that's great news! So glad to hear it went well. I think Jessey is right, we can often be more bothered than them! Totally understand you being worn out too - worrying is exhausting, specially when it concerns our furry friends. :D

Thank you girls, bless her heart though, we’ve just been back up to get her in and settled for the night and she was just standing around minding her own, soon as she saw me she let out an massive whinny and came trotting over, I think she thought I had abandoned her and she was so pleased to see me, not sure that’s a good thing or not.
Have to say the gelding in the stable next door is smitten with her and she seems rather interested in him! She’s a Trollop and I fully expect she’ll be in season within the next few days ?

Aw that's so nice you got a whinny! Bet she was chuffed to bits seeing you - I think they all go through that stage when they move don't they. Sounds like mr gelding will take her mind off any potential worries about her new home though...................... :D

She always calls to me to be fair but today’s whinny was a really happy one, she actually seemed really pleased to see me.
The gelding I’m sure will help take her mind off moving, was actually quite comical as she was in her stable with her head over the door when he came in, silly boy walked into the door because he was just staring all gooey eyed at Belle, next thing they are having kisses through the stable bars, then she just ignored him and carried on eating hay and he was still staring at her. Boys huh ?
My friend just messaged to say she’s just done her late check and Belle is calm and relaxed, that’s a relief.

So glad it went well! It's such a worry, isnt it.

Belle sounds like she's very happy there already ? Fingers crossed it continues to go well for you :)

That second picture made me laugh at first glance i thought she had her front feet over the fence, with the fence under her belly. Had to look at it again.
