2018 Hacking/Riding challenge........ Add your photos and join in open to anyone.

No riding for me yet, recovery is painfully slow but managed to get to the yard to give the boy some carrots and cuddles which was a welcome break from doing nothing but sit indoors despite the rain! Happy hacking everyone!

Andi unmounted 7.25hrs

Done more in the last few days than all summer....
I've done small incriments early in the am and late in the afternoon.
Sonny has really come back well at liberty.
Even with the tall grass in the little cavaletti rd pen.
I did some on line out front on the cavaletti trying at different angles as well. He was awesome. and traveling circles.

I have talked to Toni to see if she can set a time that works for her for Lynn to come since she will only travel for both of us.

I really need the benefit of the exercises to loosen me up.

We are back in a hot patch its gonna be 95f today ugh.
Hopefully this will be the last of this....

WOO HOO I RODE.:):):):D:D:D:D

THE FIRST TIME SINCE I BROUGHT THE HORSES OVER
HERE.

IT FELT SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD.
(lol except that im really stiff and got a big time cramp
in my right while riding that did work itself out a bit)

I played a lot last nite in the cavaletty pen and he was awesome so I decieded this am today is the day!!!
It started overcast and by the time I was set to ride the sun was trying to come out but it was not horrible yet.

I went with what I had it would be to easy to say oh its not perfect a lot of the cavaletti are kind of weedy and make excuses and not get on with it.

If I was on a trail you cant say oh the log needs to be weed whacked to walk over it….. you have to work with what you have.

It worked out great I had some shade in the cavaletti out in front.

And I played in my the part of my ring that has started to get mowed omg that has become a weedy nightmare.:eek::eek:

I did get a little worried when my leg cramped up NOW IM UP HERE
I WILL have to get off at some point ,....
but that went ok.

AHHHHHHHH I feels so so good …

I really need lessons with EXERCISES though:(:(:(

It was going to be horribly hot today again but
we got a period of dense fog in the morning so without the blaring sun.
It was odd it started sunny.

I took advantage to get some play in.

Toni and I are set up for the trainer next week.
I cant wait and the weather is supposed
To be much nicer.

I HAD SOME GREAT PLAY and Toni is coming over later with Levi to ride and play.
Its going to be sooooooooooo much fun:D:D:D:D

I played with some cavaletti

And AWESOME on the way to the feed store passed a gigantic lovely corner cabinet at the end of a driveway its in perfect condition and was FREE

I GRABBED IT for my tack room and got a spot cleared to put it in:):):)

Thankfully someone was passing and I got him to help me put it in my truck :p..
I had to go back and get the car to go get the shavings
But it was SOOOOOOOOO WORTH IT.

Had a good ride on the road and all around the cavaletti.

I did plan to ride a second time with Toni but she had some thing come up.

Today is gosh the other way chilly but ill take it

From 93f to 53f in a couple days is a bit harsh.
I will be overcast and just in 60's today so I can get another good ride in during the day and hopefully Toni and I will ride
late afternoon after Virginias music at the farm concert.

I will go today its a violin and piano duo.

My lovely cabinet that I got yesterday is awesome in my tack shed.

Im putting all my everyday riding items in it to keep them close at hand...
I need to re arrange and get the area near it all set up
now
IMG_1766.JPG

The new gate set up between Andi and Sonny is also making it much easier to get in and out with Sonny but also with shavings etc20180909_080825-1.jpg

I really hope we are going to fallish weather now
This has been an awful summer.
Lets hope come winter it stays a bit warmer.
But I'm much better with cold than hot as long as there
is NO SNOW

I have returned :)

I have been on holiday to Botswana including 4 days of riding. I will be posting a thread in the main section to tell you all about my riding there :)

We got back on Friday and I rode Harvey in the school doing some polework and popping a couple of jumps. Saturday was a SJ clinic at a local training centre - I can't believe how much we are coming on. Harvey is starting to collect for me and jump a lot better - still a long way to go of course.

I wanted to go on a fun ride on Sunday but had nobody to ride with so I posted on Facebook and a lady I was on riding camp with last year said I could ride with her. We had a really nice time - Harvey was a bit mad as usuall, but he was in control most of the time

Had some good play and a bit of riding the in last few days,.

Just had my first training sesson it was AWESOME.

We did some good exercises to loosen me up.
It helped with the leg that cramps up on me.
I got a better focus in impulsion over the cavalette then leave him alone to take me over....

We just worked in the area next to my ring and it was
great.
I also figured out somethingIMG_1998.JPG
