.... a lovely hack!
Charlie bolted with me aweek ago when EIGHT dirt bikes revved up right behind him :stomp:
A mile-long gallop up an icy road towards a junction. YIKES
Sinc then, I have been forcing myself to go out on him, but really struggling. So today I went with 5 lovely friends from the yard who surrounded Charlie, ignored my tears and wibbles, and took me on a fantastic 2 hour hack. We were passed by bikes, cars, lorries, buses, trailers, tractors, artics and caravans. We walked past a quarry while mining was going on. We galloped full-pelt up a hill in a bunch. By the end I had realised that Charlie was absolutely fine, & was NOT going to take off with me again. I started off with clammy hands, felt sick and cried whenever I saw a car! By the end we were ambling on the buckle and I was grinning from ear to ear.
