iv owned my horse since November when I got him I was told he was 17hh I had my doubts so measured him n he did measure 17hh ( ground was a bit uneven ) iv since measured him again n hes standing at 16.3hh ( his passport says to make 16.2hh ) Not fussed I LOVE him regardless of his hight and hes plenty big enuff for me me only been 5ft 6 he won't get any taller as he's 17 this yr on his passport it says his breeding is appaloosa to be regestered he's chestnut with the stripped hooves like a appy and u can see dark patches on his body but it's got me thinking is he full appy or a x

Doesn't look full appy to me they are normally quite distinctive and if he were you'd expect him to be registered as one. Lots of people call anything with spots an appoloosa, they miss understand its a breed not a colour.

I didn't honestly think he was full especially with him also not been regestered as one iv looked at his breeding on a site and his mum was a ID his dad was a appy his grandad was a appy I'm inclined to think he's ID x appy that is very true they do

You can get solid coloured Appaloosa's but if his mum is an ID then he is a part-bred.
Yes u can they do throw out chestnuts along with other solid colours like u say that's wot I'm now going with with it saying on the site his mum's a ID that hes not fill appy but part bred
