Currently we are using a Heather Moffet Vogue saddle. However, I am not 100% convinced about weight distribution so when we reach a more even keel - as in not changing shape all the time what treed saddles would you recommend.

Oh, and def do not want a Wintec or Thoroughgood.

It depends how flat he is. I specialise in fitting wide horses of all shapes with Native Pony and Phoenix saddles and we have fitters covering most of the country. Other options might include the Haflinger tree from GFS and I think Jeffries and the H&C tree from Ideal. Look fora tree that is wide in the head (wide pommel), has a flattish seat, flat panels, and four girth straps, then most cobs would use the first (point) and third.

My friends XXW highland has a Kent & Masters. I can safely say that apart from it being a superb fit, it's the most comfortable saddle I've ever ridden in.

Mind you, I'm an advocate of not making recommendations of saddles and instead finding a superb fitter to do that.

I have the kent and masters cob saddle as well, the adjustable gullet saved me from having to buy a whole new saddle just recently.
Only thing is, its effectively a leather version of the thorowgood - made by the same people, so on your 'i don't want' list.
