Since some of us 'more mature' riders reported our bad exam experiences I just want to add an up to date picture.

As some of you know my 'little (5'10"!!) one' is doing her stage exams this summer and had to take taking the first one against my better judgement at a college. She had horrors, the ex racehorse who wouldn't accept leg, a cob without lateral responses and a horse for practical who was taken out after her so it shouldn't scare the less experienced candidates!!!

Oh dear I thought perhaps things have not improved.

Anyway she has just rung from her stage 2 at a pivately owned school to say she had a great time with super horses, all worked correctly and one was off to Harpury later for the RDA dressage.

Roll on stage 3 and PTT next month at the same yard!!

Seriously the BHS have weeded out most of the horrors but you still need to shop around and book the good places early

Picking self up off floor now...... can you mention the yard name she took it at?
