Thanks everyone! The years have flown by and she's starting to look a bit more like a "proper" pony now (but I am kinda biased :wink. It's most noticeable in her work as she finds it easier to hold herself properly now her frame is more established.
Hi Tina, this is Inca, she is a welsh part bred. Her dam is my older coloured mare Puzzle who is a native type.....but pretty much a coloured welsh pony, I would guesstimate she is about 50% welsh or thereabouts. She has the temperament, type and movement....just not the colour. We put her to Thorndonpark Jet (14.1, black Section D, old fashioned deep bodied type, very successful both ridden and in-hand).
So Inca is approx 50% - 75% welsh, and has all the attitude to boot! She's a really loving little mare, but is one of the quickest learners I have come across so I have to be on my A game all the time (or as close as I come to having an A game! :giggle
I am learning all about this A game. My instructor said mine is very intelligent and she is good at putting that skill to her advantage. They have character don't they.
