Boring car-part shopping help - desperate!! Please!

OK, boring thread of the week. Google has failed me miserably, and won't actually load very well (rubbish internet) and I am desperate!

I need:

Parking brake cable
Ford Explorer 1998 LHD!!!
Driver's side

AND

Parking brake cable
Ford Explorer 1998 LHD!!!
Passenger's side

can I HELL find any!!

Must be specified near side / off side (driver/passenger - Well, that way around in my LHD car anyway!)

I wish Tina! Yes, there are breakers yards.... for Trabants and Ladas! And Suzukis (they are made here too!)

There aren't any Ford Explorer parts over here at all! They all have to be imported.

Ceiron, doesn't have to be a Ford branded part....just the left and right side cables. Am getting to the point of using a piece of string! Left email messages with loads of breakers in the UK today, hopefully ONE of them can help!

Cars are a nightmare!

Thanks KV, is the parking brake what I would call a hand brake?

It's a foot operated brake. You release by hand, but apply by foot. Hence parking brake, rather than hand brake, 'cos it's confusing as you don't apply it by hand!! :giggle:

NONE! I have messaged loads of car spare places...NONE have a parking brake cable - either side - for my car!

I have NO idea at all!! Sorry!! Mechanic is a bit of a nightmare. My Hungarian's OK, but not techno-speak about car parts!

No, not GB registered, it's HU registered.

Yep, done that. ONE will post internationally. The cable is £4. They was £30 to post each one!!! I think that's taking the p***!
