The negative of our trip out on Sunday is I’ve got a broken trailer, thank goodness not an issue until we got back!

After we unloaded I couldn’t shut the ramp, it was too high and too one side for the latch to close 🤔

After a couple of days worrying the frame had twisted (which would be the end of transport for me) I got a chance to properly look at it, and goodness knows how but the hinge was bent upwards!

A sledge hammer got it straightened enough to close but obviously it’s not safe for horses until I can replace it, which will be a few weeks as I’ve got the saddler in 10 days so I’m saving my pennies until I know that verdict.

So frustrating when I’ve just got monkey to a point where he’s travelling brilliantly in company and I was going to try him on his own this week.

My friend had an issue with the hinges on her lorry ramp. It turned out that where she was loading the ground wasn't level so one point of the ramp wasn't on the ground and so not supported. Over a while with 2 horses going on and off with one side supported only the ramp was twisting slightly. After that she carried a selection of stones to even up the ramp on the ground!

I suspect that’s exactly what happened, I’ll stick a block of wood in once I get it fixed and pay more attention!
