ETA sorry this should be in The Sofa!

This morning the toaster died so I put my breakfast toast under the grill instead. Bloody idiot then went off to get dressed and forgot all about it. Toast charred to a crisp, smoke everywhere. Needless to say the house now reeks of burnt toast :frown: Have left the windows open all day and had the extractor fan on in the kitchen, but when I came down after work the smell still hadn't gone away! Any of you housewifey types know what I can do to get rid of the smell? :help:

Febreeze in the air and linen spray on all the fabrics/sofa/carpets etc. Also do you have any scented candles? I once left a garlic bread in the oven and forgot. It took a while but with windows open and lots of spray, the smell soon went.
