calling those that know about saddles

Looks indian made to me, i'm not sure |I would chance it, I would rather buy an older one and have it done up.
 
that's the problem you see cos of his shape, most older ones are too narrow at the front.

i had a nice side saddle 1920 and it fitted previous horse no good on him too long but also too narrow. horses back then were narrow.

i'm thinking indian and if no good fit wise would i be able to shift.
 
You also have to consider the damage it could do to your horses back.

I wouldn't go near it.

There's a saying, what is cheap in the short run, usually isn't cheap in the long run.
 
Looks very much like the ones they sell in the saddlery in Budapest for £200. Can't be sure, but looks very much like it - and they are Indian leather.

Horrid - I have sat on one - Never want to again and won't put one on my horse.

Badly fitting saddles can play hell with your horse's back, so imagine what a badly fitting side-saddle can do!
