Can members of this group please keep their eyes peeled on all selling type sites for 8 saddles stolen from West Linton, Scottish Borders on the weekend of 17/18 November, most likely in the dark. 2 Icelandic style Goertz with a German castle on the saddle flap (1 black with ribbed seat, 1 brown smooth seat old-style), a black Spalding smooth seat Icelandic, another Icelandic black rib-seat, a Diddi-pad suede seat Icelandic treeless, a Freeform treeless, a black Ansur treeless, and a beautiful old brown western saddle with leather stirrups and silver inlays. The saddles had girths and Icelandic stainless steel safety stirrups attached. One set of stirrups is very distinctive with large rectangular footplates made of steel in the form of the letters RMA. They also took several numnahs and pads including sheepskin ones, a black leather bridle with a KK ultra bit and a leather bitless Dr Cook. Also stolen were several other assorted pieces of tack. All will probably be sold for buttons, but were invaluable to their (ex) owners. Infuriating! A metallic red Peugeot car is a suspect. Please pass on this info any other horse-owners to be aware
