Is is ok to feed horses the leaves (feathery bits) off carrots? I grow loads of my own veg and usually throw these into the compost heap but if they are tasty and good for horses I could throw some in spoilt girly's feed, also the leaves (tops) off parsnips, I should think they are ok but not sure. It's because I know that the leaves of rhubarb are poisonous be we can eat the stalk, so now I'm not sure if the carrot is ok but the leaves aren't, has anyone fed these to their horses before?
