Hi. Yes, I did see that FAQ. My pony's 13 year old rider wants to book on a Challenge Award & has found out that our local Riding Centre charges £15 per hour. I was wondering what other Centres charge so we could decide whether £15 per hour is reasonable. If you click on the FAQs it tells you the costs vary depending on the centre or coach you use, I suggest you ring the BHS and ask.
Thanks for your reply. There are only 2 riding centres around here & the other one doesn't offer training courses. So we can't shop around. The choice seems to be accept the cost or don't do the course.I think you'd have to ring round the ones in your area and ask them individually. It may be that a coach would work out cheaper if she doesn't need to use a school horse.

Hi again. Yes life can be difficult & unfair. (I am 67! ) I was hoping some Forum members could give me an idea of costs at other centres so I could work out whether my local centre is taking advantage of the absence of competition around here. I know I could contact other centres direct but I don't hear well on the phone & emails aren't always replied to. Also contacting other centres directly is time consuming. Of course I value Forum members advice & opinionsUnfortunately that's life
