Parcel force/royal mail is too much to warrant sending it, is there a cheaper way?

I've not used them, but these people seem pretty good value. Not sure how much a rug weighs, but 10Kg UK mainland to UK mainland is £6

I use Hermes too they are really good and reasonably priced. I think it was £4.00 something to post something up to 2 kilos.

I use interparcel.com They will give a price for all options of postage. Royal mail is expensive for those large but not huge type parcels! alough I use parcel force for large heavy ones!

Another vote here for Hermes. Most people have a drop off point close by. A word of warning though....do make sure you weigh your item and pay for the correct weight. I bought some rugs off Ebay and the seller posted by Hermes and aid for 10kgs. They actually weighed 15 kgs, she had to Ay the different and a £25.00 fine too!
