I have neoprene boots for Salsa which come up lovely and clean in the wash, but the velcro fastenings are horrible and all the bits of dirt and hay in the wash clings to them. How can I get the velcro clean?
metal curry comb works well, or just a sharp-ish tool (i.e scissors) dragged through the velcro. It takes a little while, but comes up lovely, and easier than it looks, as when one bit starts coming off, it pulls all the rest of it with it.
I've seen velcro cleaners (brush like things) at Countrywide Farmers stores and on Ebay. The two that I've seen have been made by NEW and Equilibrium. Cost around £4-£5.
