Cob/feathered horse owners help! Scurfy / greasy skin

I would think baby oil would be fine, not sure TBH, I only ever use it on tails to keep the skanky poos and mud at bay.

Plus I would tend to really slather loads of it on so the pig oil is much cheaper. If you can get it really seriously coated on every bit of skin and hair...you probably will only need to do it every couple of weeks or so through the winter.:smile:
 
Ziggy gets that scurfy stuff under his leg fur towards the end of the winter, when he is about to go clean legged for the summer.

We spend many a happy hour in the shelter (when I have the time) with me combing it out :redface:.

I sometimes use baby oil or aloe vera if it is in a sensitive spot, like the insides of his thighs, but generally it seems to go on its own, probably because all the hair drops out when he is summer smooth!
