Cold sore

My 28 y o girl has got a 3mm round sore in her lip it looks really angry but it's not weeping and is dry. She only has the one. Any ideas anyone???? Thanks in advance

Could be what they call ‘summer sores'? I think its some kind of worm thing but forget as it’s been a few years since I seen them.

They're not usual painful, they just look terrifying!

They're a mainly harmless worm, Jane.

Summer Sores

Habronema or Drashia larvae cause a localised inflammatory reaction in the skin creating exuberant granulation tissue in a circular red, weeping sore. They can occur anywhere on the body of the horse but are most common on the lips and face, legs and any area of trauma to the skin.
