Does anyone ride English AND Western?

I totally agree NF, I once got told off by a judge for riding my 7 year old in a snaffle bit as he should have been 'finished and in a curb by then', I think it stems from working horses in that they were costing more money (in time) before they were finished so it was imperative to get them solid in their foundations pretty quickly, a finished horse doesn't nec. mean its done learning, but is schooled to a standard to be able to complete its work responsively and effectively.
