Hi, well my shetland x mare has always coughed a couple of times when she gets excited or has overdone it, but it normally sounds (i dont know how to describe it?) quite "wet". well today on our first trot she stopped and coughed about six times but it sounded quite "dry". is this bad? she didnt do it for the rest of the ride, even after fast canters. could it have something to do with the fact that she might have been eating her straw the last couple of days? (not much grass+couple of storms= sheltering in stable) am i just over reacting? any help appreciated!
