Hi all, sorry for the morbid thread but have just been designing a new mortuaty for a hospital and had to have a look about the one they currently have - eeeeek!! And wondered if anyone knew anything about the equine post mortem, how it's done, are the PM rooms similar to human ones but on a larger scale etc?? And fridges etc?

I'd love to know - Once my architecture/design practice has taken off I'd love to specialise in designing equestrian/animal hospitals etc!

Thanks in advance! (I feel like I now need to go wash thoroughly!!)

Generally it's done in the field where the horse fell with a large knife and nothing more fancy than that.

Equestrian hospitals need things more like factory and garage equipment.

I was very interested in seeing the x-ray rooms etc when Cheyenne was an in patient at the Royal Vet School and still interested in it all now. I'd love to combine my two passions in life one day - horses and architecture..

Don't want to google horse post mortem incase I get something a bit disturbing come up!

would you like me to go and google for you?? other option.. ring your vet and ask!

ive had to ring the very tasty vet today as max has a nasty gash on hes heel... anyway hes out tuesday! i keep looking at the vets website to see if theres a piccy of him but theres not as of yet!
