did anyone else on here every go a horse riding holiday at ettrick stables, dumfriesshire?? i spent every summer there as a kid/teenager

I did once, rode Bushkin, clyde, shannon and caffrey, and wanted to ride oz, but someone always got there before me!
Also remember magpie, breya(?) and a pony, i cant remember, but had to eat in a dark stable cos he always got choke?
Remember playing 'indians' on the road up to the loch, still play it with my clients now!
We went to cinema, and a really cold swimming baths.
Is it still running?

as far as i no it is still running, lee got married and mobed into a big fancy house, but still runs ettrick....i went there 8 summers in a row and loved it, bushkin was my favourite after i outgrew thumper and storm! i want to send my daughter when she's old enough! i dont think caffrey was broken when i was there, not sure who the pont who got choke was either? but i do remember playing indians, lol i had forgotten all about it until you said!
