1/03/2010 same as aboveridden by Mr C Whilans (50-1) 17/17

These are National Hunt Bumpers for 4-6 year olds, class 6 races described as 'always behind tailed off after 3f out'

Fairly hopeless racehorse...hope he is better as a riding horse

Thanks for that I rode out with him today hes quite steady, bomproof in traffic and we met alsorts nowt seems to phase him, has no stable vices, is turned out with other horses and no problems at all, but boy can he jump hes maybe found his forte in jumping lol

'Bumpers' are often used as last resort races for horse that were too immature to run at two or three or as an intro for horse intended as national hunt prospects. There is also a trend for rather nice horse that are destined for the showing world to be run gently in them to qualify as raced for ROR classes now they are offering big prize money!!

The big plus is you know the horse has not been worked as a youngster and that most NH trainers do far more conventional breaking and training with them then the flat race ones who may only be lightly backed as 2 yo before being raced.

he sounds nice, low mileage! ex NH horses can often be brilliant riding horses and he hasn't been too souped up by lots of racing.

just sounds like he was a bit slow....
