You know, from "back in the day", when comedians were genuinely clever and didn't have to swear or insult people to be funny!
What are yours?
I absolutely LOVE the two Ronnies. Pure genius! The writing is so clever and I just don't know how they managed to do sketches like this without cracking up!

I also love Rowan Atkinson's old stage shows, from before he was famous.

And this one

Jasper Carrott & Dave Allen. Such a shame they never seem to repeat their shows, maybe they're too unPC for today.

Although more of an actor than a comedian, Peter Ustinov - I went to a London theatre for "An evening with Peter Ustinov" - it was hilarious, especially the story of when he was on a set all dressed up in a knights armour and put on a horse - "well I had never been on a horse before" and caused carnage on the set o_O

We get a lot of the older British comedy shows over here on public television channels. I love them ALL...

ARE YOU BEING SERVED... THEN THE LATER ONE.. SERVED AGAIN that was on the farm.

MR HUMPHREYS John Inman was great
They had PBS fundraiser years ago over here .. Tea with Mr Humphries...
That would have been fun to have gone to.

KEEPING UP APPEARANCES..

Lol Mrs Bucket...

it was funny to see Patricia later in a sleuth series..

She was fabulous in both.

Has to be Dave Allen - so many favourite sketches - but here is a little one I just love - the delightful very black humour of the Irish concerning death lol!

But I like the sketch with Dawn French horse riding.

....You bugggrrr!....just creases me up everytime :D

The pony that won't go and just eats reminds me of now let alone childhood.
Mine will nibble the heads off the thistles as we go through the fields given the chance.

Jennifer can ride, she owns Piggy French's eventer- pointless info there.
