I've found that if you go into how you connect on Privacy settings, you can stop people from outside your circle from finding you.. I didn't know that!

Yup, mine is set that unless you are a friend of a friend it's invisible. I work for an IT security company and so I know the risks of not having things secure, the lads were pretty impressed how little visibility I had on the net for a 'normal' person!
