First away compy since buying Max - pics

here we are at our first away comp.

He travelled so well in the trailer given that he has been at the RS for at least nine years and likely has never travelled - like an old pro.

And he has plaits! Proper ponio now.

We did ok - my purposes were

1. to travel
2. try dressage
3. maybe do sj
4. walk the xc course
5. if all is well try the xc

I managed nos 1-4 so pretty ok - Max was lying 3rd after dressage - we had 2 unfortunate refusals (entirely down to me backing off) in the sj. Had a blistered foot so could not manage the XC (shame lol)

He looks like a lovely boy and I'm pleased that he was well behaved. I presume he is an ex-riding school horse? I am considering taking one on loan which looks the spitting image of your boy!

Yes he is ex RS, and I have known him for a very very long time - I started at the RS nearly 8 years ago and he was the second pony I rode there - and now he is mine
