Fjords Manes

I start off with the clippers and take the lot off, then as the season goes on trim it into the shape I want according to the shape of the neck.

Once you have it it's easy to maintain.

I really don't like the OTT zig zag methods some folk go in for. PLain and simple, as Fjord lady says, the two light stripes lower than the black one down the middle.

I clip all off in deep winter, then by the time they are out and about its growing back nicely and is easy to manage. Maintainance is easier if you start from ground level and do it regularly. Once its out of control, you blunt the scissors. I dont touch the youngsters until they come into work, they look cuter shaggy.

Wally I hate the zig zag too. But each to their own.
