Not a proper outing as in a show, but first outing in the lorry since we've had him! As we've had this week off to decorate we took today to take the horses out to a local arena to use the jumps. Fanio is so much calmer with his boyfriend in the lorry with him! He normally weaves until we've left the yard but today was all good!!!
Got there and unloaded and tacked up. Fab wasn't liking being last off the lorry mind
but fine once he got off and was tacked up!
Both just warmed up and used the same arena as plently of room not to get in each others way (apart from when i tried to go over a jump and OH got in my way so i had to abandon and go round again - then he done the same thing!!! Err, hello! There's 2 of us jumping in here!! :lol
Fab hadn't been out jumping in ages and was really good for me. Had one stop at the filler which really was my fault as i was anticipating it and should have pushed him on but he went over second time so not too displeased about it. Also tried him out in NS elevator and he went really well in it. Much nicer canter than i've had jumping for ages. He was a bit more sprightly, probably cos Fred was in with him, or just cos we'd not been there for a while, but whatever way he went well! Was a bit concerned he might bomb after Freddy give how he tanked off when Fred was in front of him cantering on a hack but apparently its different in an arena! Even stood for me to take some video (although did have to tell him to stand a few times!). Freddy was 'ahem' very keen!! :lol: He was just in a snaffle and did take advantage of flying around whenever OH let him!!! Was OH's first time out with him anywhere and he was really pleased with him. Think he may need a little clip this weekend as he got a bit sweaty but only on his neck.
So, all in all a nice day was had by all. Couple of little vids, not great as both took whilst on horses! But wasn't planning on taking any and main thing was that we had a good day.
