When I used to ride pt to pt horses, we had rustic jumps set into the fences of the fields they were kept in. I don't remember any of them jumping out. The fields were big and had loads of grass so weren't tempted.

I used to jump the arena fence at the end of a grid (went into another arena), only when she clocked onto the fence when I didnt want to jump it did I realise this might not have been the wisest thing I ever taught my pony to do...
