Garlic poisoning? Anyone heard of this?

I know folk who have fed it for years and swear by its fly repellent properties. I can't say I have ever found that the flies are kept away, I used to feed it, but it stinks the place out, I quite like the smell, and would put garlic in pudding if I could, but I wonder about feeding it now with research I have done.

I have used it for years as a fly repellent. Also for myself when going to a hot country, or the west coast of Scotland!

I would like to see more research. It was a small, short, study.

I don't feed garlic but mainly because it's an anti-coagulant. It is already added to most feed anyway so why feed extra ?
