For the pony that never really goes near fences, I'd say he's voting with his feet, so my project this weekend is to start opening up part of the bog for the little guys to enjoy (and hopefully trample the weeds back or I'll not find them in there in another month!)

I left it open all day yesterday, Dan never clocked it, will see if he joins him today. I'm hoping the ponies will keep the weeds back a bit to let air and sunlight in to dry the ground then maybe the big ones can have access too later in the summer, at the moment they'd sink to their knees at least. There's loads of sedge which hank is eating, nettle which Dan will eat and golden rod which neither will touch and I'll probably have to chop by hand but it's a nightmare.
