Hard bumpy raised Line round frog

Hi my pony has laminitis In front feet and has been on box rest for around 3/4 weeks. We had front feet X-ray’s done as he was lame in front feet which showed slight rotation of the pedal bone In both feet. Today I’ve noticed a a raised ridge round his frog but in his hind feet could this be related to the laminitis in his front feet or know what this could be? Thanks

Many professionals believe this happens in a compromised foot to act as an additional support structure, once it’s not needed it will shed off on its own.
