Has anyone used Laser therapy on their horse?

I had laser therapy used on my horse today, he was diagnosed with having a problem with his sacroiliac joint.

Has anyone else had this done and what did you think?

i used laser therapy very successfully on a bad wound, and definately found it helped the area heal faster - hope it helps your horse as much as it did mine

Thanks thoroughlybred1, glad to hear good feedback on it.

I was told it was quite an immediate effect with regards to bad backs but havent had a chance to ride to see if it has improved due to being saddleless.

Anybody else had any experience with laser therapy?

Like TB1, iv'e seen it used on a very bad wound with a quite remarkable result.

My Mare had some laser therapy on a pulled back muscle. All I can say is she had it 4 times, absolutely loved it ( must have been so relieving for her ) and she's been ok since. That was 2 years ago.

My boy, Heathcliff had a very nasty injury to his hock and I spent 8 weeks using laser every day on it for 20 minutes, and the improvement was fantastic. Definately worth trying.
