Hello everyone, I have recently acquired 2 mini shetlands. It’s always been on my bucket list. I’m not a total novice, but I was ill for about 10 years and promised myself if I recovered, that I would go for it. I did, and so I am . !!!!
One of my little “ darlings “ is rising 2, and my other , Ruby, was 5 last week. I want to show them, The Northern lights shows in Yorkshire approach. I don’t expect anything, I’m doing this for fun, I think they are amazing, so I don’t expect others to see them as I do.
The thing is, where do I start ?
I was a pony club girl. I had an Exmoor pony, and he was a great all rounder, but that was decades ago....
Missy, the younger, just loves to roll and be filthy. ...The older girl Ruby, is a registered mare with a thick , but beautiful blonde salt and pepper mane ( women would pay a fortune for that look ) and chestnut. Whilst Missy, totes her inner Yak wannabe, and is piebald. ( she was a rescue )
Both would have to enter the coloured classes, as Ruby , being a rich chestnut has 4 white socks.
Any advice will be treasured. ???
